Description
Filmed in the 60's the footage is entirely in black & white and starts with a group singing and playing music with Guitars. Sam and other volunteers identified this group as "The Latouche Group" who were a family of accomplished musicians who played in many churches in the local area. It is also thought that this is a baptism service. Shots Include both Pastor Bernhard (Currently at the New Testament in Streatham, Grehound lane) & Bishop Powel (currently in tooting). Unfortunately the sound is often of very poor quality & out of sync.
00:00:00 to 00:01:25 The Latouche Group play and sing a song.
00:01:25 to 00:03:37 Pastor Bernhard delivers a service.
00:04:23 to 00:05:45 Sister Gardener sings.
00:05:52 to 00:07:05 A young girl sings and the The Latouche Group break into an instrumental section.
00:07:40 to 00:12:26 The Latouche group is on again, the lead singer is sister Cameron with Sams lights coming into view at 8mins 55 secs.
00:13:11 to 00:18:18 A whole choir sings, though the sound is very distorted to start with.
