Interview with a Bishop at the Temple of truth
We've identified one of the people who originally built the "Jesus Saves" church depicted in Sam's films. Myself, Terry and Kareim have been preparing questions to ask him in an interview, any thoughts or additions to these gratefully received:
Possible questions:
- What were your challenges in setting up the church in this area?
- What was your involvement with the Jesus Saves Church in Somerleyton Road?
- When did you arrive in the UK and what brought you here?
Coming on board
I have joined the team in order to help gather the last pieces of video content for the exhibition and website.
I worked with Ashton and Terry last Tuesday at the 198 Gallery - where we looked over the video footage of interviews they have filmed, and started to organise them into a number of separate clips. They have collected some really interesting contributions, including some great stories from Ashton himself.

Message from Terry who's trying to organise an interview with a Bishop who was in one of Sam's films
"I met the Bishop at the Temple today he said he prefers to be called an evangelist as he really enjoys working on the street with young people, when I outlined the importance of Sam the wheels footage for the project his eyes lit up as he recalled how he led the Pentacostal community with its self build of there new Church on Sommerleyton Road.
Copyright for Records Managers and Archivists
Just thought I'd post a reminder to myself about a book "Copyright for Records Managers and Archivists" by Tim Padfield, which talks about ownership issues to do with archives.
